Brighten Your Home with Bulbs
Paperwhites
If we need anything in winter, it's the promise of spring to come. The fragrant blossoms of Paperwhite Narcissus or daffodil deliver on that promise.

To force Paperwhites, fill a bulb pan with one to two inches of potting soil, then position the bulbs in the soil with their pointed ends up, so they nearly touch each other. Add potting soil so that the top half of the bulbs remain exposed, and water them well.

Paperwhites will bloom four to eight weeks after potting. For a continuous show of color, start new pots of bulbs every few weeks. They bloom only once, so discard the bulbs after they have flowered or save them for planting in your flowerbed.
