Sagebrush Varieties for Your Landscape
Seafoam Artemisia
Seafoam Artemisia
Here are some other members of the Sagebrush family that will work very well in your landscape and have a very pleasing appearance.

Seafoam Artemisia
  (Artemisia versicolor)

This was a Plant Select in 2004. It has finely filigreed silver-gray foliage. That gives it a frothy appearance on a mound that will spread to nearly 3 feet wide and up to 18 inches tall. It is never floppy due to the plants’ woody underpinnings. It has wonderful year-round textural accent plant for xeric gardens. It is rabbit and deer resistant. It is Zone 4 and likes full sun.

Powis Castle Artemisia (A. arborescens “Powis Castle”)

This is another great deer deterrent accent in the garden and at 24 inches wide by 24 inches tall, it works as a windbreak within a planting area as well! It has silvery foliage and is a sterile hybrid so it cannot seed. It looks delicate, seldom blooms, hails from a limestone-based area of England and is perfectly at home here! It is also rabbit and deer resistant. It is Zone 4 and wants full sun.
