Today, I want to talk about some suggested varieties that are tried and
true for most Wyoming gardens. Green beans are a main staple for any
garden. Blue Lake is a popular bush bean. Some Pole bean varieties to
consider include Kentucky Blue, and Kentucky Wonder. Red beets add
variety to the garden. Detroit Dark Red is a popular and easy variety
to find. Cabbage is a must particularily for those of us with a little
Irish blood. Copenhagen Market, Stonehead, Earliana are generally
available at your local nursery.
No stew is properly made with out
potatoes and carrots. Danvers Half Long, and Short and Sweet some
popular carrot varieties. Suggested Red Potatoes for planting include
seed pieces of Norland, and Red Pontiac or the Russets for a White
Potato.
