Water Features

Water Features in Gardens
Although we live in a dry, somewhat harsh, climate zone, water features in a landscape add interest, provide relaxation, and offer great habitat.  A water feature can be part of a small garden or be the main focal point of your entire landscape design.

A pond, waterfall or fountain adds lush serenity and beauty while also serving as a necessary life requirement (water!) for songbirds, insects and small mammals, giving you a wonderful watchable wildlife experience right in your own backyard!

Adding a water feature doesn't have to break the bank. A small pond or waterfall can be installed yourself for a very reasonable price.  Fountains help add interest to a landscape and can serve as transitions between areas around your yard.  Container water features provide a soothing outdoor experience as well as add style to your deck or porch.

So consider adding a water feature this year, and bring a fun, relaxing element to your landscape while also providing an important source of water for the watchable wildlife in your area!
